I'm a little torn on how to rate this. I thought about giving it five stars because I thought it was so well done for such a young man. (After all, I have a mental stack of books I've promised myself I would write, and I'm twice his age.) I decided I wouldn't tack on the bonus points for age.

I think the author (and reader) knew what conclusions he would draw before he completed this process. That was evident in his intent to write the book. Whereas, he knew where his conclusions would end up, more or less, he couldn't have known the particulars of the different relationships he would develop there. It's the telling of those stories that made this book so strong.
