How to Read Literature Like a Professor: A Lively and Entertaining Guide to Reading Between the Lines

How to Read Literature Like a Professor: A Lively and Entertaining Guide to Reading Between the Lines - Thomas C. Foster Some may question a five-star rating on this book, but I give it such a high rating because I believe it really delivered on what it was aiming to do. It did an excellent job of introducing the student or lay-reader to reading and enjoying literature beyond the basic actions/plot in a story. If you've ever felt there was something deeper and more meaningful in the books or poetry you read, but didn't know how to approach it, this book really gives you a great jumping off point into a richer experience with literature.

I don't believe it's the end-all on the subject. As I said above, it's just a starting point, but I think it is a very good starting point. I'm really glad I read it, and to all my friends who enjoy reading, I recommend taking a look at this book.
